The risks of installing the wrong kind light in your work space is not just electrical but a potential set of problems that have much to do with your vision. Here are some common lighting mistakes seen in offices and how it can be remedied.

If the light in the office is too bright, it could make it difficult to operate machines if there is too much contrast between areas with harsh light and areas with dim lights. It would be better to make the lighting even by using diffusers. If the bright light is coming from your monitor, you can also put something on the screen to lessen the effect, adjust the brightness, or download free software that would make your screen appear yellowish.
If there is too much natural light streaming in and staring you straight in your face as you work, it can cause vision problems. You need to change the position of your table or install blinds. If it bright light coming from a lamp, get a glare shield and adjust it if possible to a 30 degree angle.
For stark contrasts between the lit areas and the darkened corners or edges, you can change the color of the wall paint and ceiling. Use matte instead of glossy and light colors instead of dark so that it will reflect the light better.
If there are devices using LCD or LED, check if you can change them to OLED screens. These are organic LED and are more flexible in light emissions. They also do not require a backlight so you get more available space since the OLED display will be much thinner. It will also be more energy-efficient since it won’t require as much power.
However, the OLED devices might surprise you with their prices. It’s a lot more expensive mainly because it’s new and limited. This should change once more companies start to use OLED.
